One day, I got really bored that literally started talking to myself. So, i started to rekindle my passion of reading. So after a quick drop at the bank, i stop by at Popular bookstore where I started to look around for a good book to read. Maybe a magazine perhaps, but after a quick flip nothing interest me. So i moved to the Fiction section. A stack of books by Jodi Picoult, Cecelia Ahern, Sophie Kinsella and many more staring at me but still nothing interest me. Then, i resort to our local writter, and one book in particular catch my attention. Yvonne lee , "Madness Aboard: Welcome to plane insanity", "Vanity Drive" and her bestseller " The sky is crazy:Tales from a trolley dolly. I have always wanted to be an air-stewardess for a long time and i felt that i could relate my passion to her books. True enough, i couldn't put the book down. I immediately bought two of her books and drove home quickly so i can have the time to read them.
So, I started to read my first choice, Vanity drive and boy! the book give me a great laugh of her husband comments and reaction on her vanity which reminds me of my husband who did the same things and reminisce on how i did go through the same vanity things mention in the book. It didn't took me long to finish it and by the time i reach the last pages, I am some what disappointed as I can't have enough of the book. It was a GREAT book.
That night, I immediately started the next book; Madness aboard. it was really humorous yet filled with interesting facts. Until now, i have new respect for air stewardess and the challenges they have to go through with different type of passengers from different places around the world. All these while, I thought being a stewardess was just the opportunity to go round the world was a bonus but never about dealing with people individuality, demand and needs. After all, that's whats its all about. Hospitality. I had my share of laugh and fun reading this book and I can't wait to get my hand on the other one. The best seller " The sky is crazy:Tales from a trolley dolly"
